March Storms Still Impacting Bulk Waste Routes

Garbage, recycling and yard waste collections are currently on schedule throughout the City of Fort Worth, but bulk waste collection routes continue to feel the impact of March 29 storms.

Crews have collected 35 of the 70 routes scheduled for the first week of the month. Week one collection routes cover areas in far north Fort Worth, west of I-35 and largely north of State Highway 199. City staff expects week one routes to be completed by Thursday, April 13.

The city's collections contractor has brought in additional resources to work in areas with heavier damage from the storms, and the city’s illegal dump crews also are assisting with bulk collections in areas that have reported heavy debris.
